Where do you offer tutoring services?
At this time tutors are available to teach in your home. Our new offices will be opening soon.
Do I have to make a long-term commitment?
No. We will work with your child for as long as you feel is necessary. You may stop our services at any time.
Do you work with home schooled students?
Yes. As a matter of fact, we are an approved vendor for the Oak Harbor HomeConnection program and Vocational Rehabilitation Services. We also provide proctoring services for Western Governors University.
How long are tutoring sessions?
Tutoring sessions are typically one hour in length. Research has shown that hour-long sessions are the most effective length of time for the majority of the students we serve. We recommend two sessions per week.
Can you meet the learning needs of students with disabilities?
All of our teachers have experience working with students with special needs. We have teachers available with Special Education certification and specialized training in working with students with a wide range of ability levels. We are highly qualified in implementing the goals developed on your child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). Teachers are also available to consult with families regarding the Special Education process.
Does Achieve provide references for their tutors?
Yes. We have a list of phone numbers and emails of previous and current clients eager to talk about our services with others. These references are available upon request.
